Pada dasarnya, CINDE Nest adalah tempat atau bengkel kerja. Di sini LSM/NGO Cindelaras Paritrana menyelenggarakan aneka lokakarya, rapat-kerja dan pelatihan di bidang kerjanya.

Maka para mitra LSM/NGO Cindelaras Paritrana, baik lembaga bisnis, pendidikan, LSM/NGO, lembaga-lembaga lain juga dapat memanfaatkan CINDE Nest untuk keperluan yang sama dengan biaya ringan.

CINDE Nest Caretaker

CINDE Nest tentu saja bukan sekedar rumah dan isi perabotannya. Tetapi juga pengurus. Caretaker, yang sehari-hari menjadwal penggunaan ruang-ruang, menata ruang sesuai maksud penggunaannya atau acaranya, menyiapkan pelbagai peralatan yang diperlukan, termasuk konsumsi, dan memelihara kerapian dan kebersihannya. Pokoknya penanggungjawab tatagraha CINDE Nest.

Pengurus harian CINDE Nest adalah Antonius Gatot Wasito. Orangnya ramah dan bersahaja. Terkesan lembut. Tapi juga bisa keras dan sangar. Maklum, tugasnya termasuk menjaga tata-tertib dan keamanan rumah juga. Ia menerapkan konsep CINDE Nest sebagai "homestay", dan setiap orang yang tinggal di situ ikut berpartisipasi bertanggungjawab atas penyelenggaraan rumah. Jika memerlukan gelas, piring, sendok, disediakan dalam keadaan bersih. Maka siapa pun sesudah menggunakan barang-barang itu harus mengembalikan  ke tempatnya lagi dalam keadaan bersih juga. Tidak ada yang namanya "pembantu" di CINDE Nest.

Pendopo

A Pendopo or Pendapa is a fundamental element of Javanese architecture; a large pavilion-like structure built on columns. Either square or rectangular in plan, it is open on all sides and provides shelter from the sun and rain, but allows breeze and indirect light. The word pendopo is a variant on the Sanskrit word mandapa ('hall'). The Dutch writer Multatuli in his colonial reformist novel Max Havelaar described the pendopo as "next to a broad-rimmed hat, an umbrella or a hollow tree, a pendopo is undoubtedly the simplest representation there is of the concept of 'roof'".

Derived from ancient Javanese architectural elements, pendopo are common ritual spaces primarily intended for ceremony, and also for a variety of purposes such as receiving guests in the compounds of wealthy Javanese, and even as cottage industry work spaces. Pendopo can be constructed as a stand alone structure or attached to walled inner structure called dalem, it formed the front part of Joglo, Javanese traditional house.

CINDE NEST has two “pendopo” structures. One, the bigger, stands in the front, and another smaller one in the back yard. We use them for various purposes.

CINDE Nest, Sanggar Karya Cindelaras

Dear Friends,
This blog CINDE NEST  is about the place, the main venue where NGO Cindelaras Paritrana works. Then we refer it as Cindelaras Workshop. Here we spawn ideas, cultivate and enrich them with all  dimensions and aspects, weigh the various possibilities at hand, and make decision to implement them. All is aiming to empower “wong cilik”, the poor and the marginalized people, to be able to have their basic rights, seeking justice and peace, to the general welfare. Of course we are not alone. Our friends who are the main actors in the struggle will fought with their full participation, we are their companion and facilitator. Result of the struggle was entirely theirs. De Populo ad populum. Of the people for the people. We are blessed satisfaction of their welfare.

From this house, everything was started and proceed.
The house then we show in a separate blog, and we write down our thoughts, our ups and downs in this house, we pour in the posts within.
